MLC Life Insurance has appointed Michael Rogers as its Chief Life Insurance Officer, overseeing the company’s insurance operations and delivery to customers, advisers, and superannuation funds.

Michael will officially join MLC Life Insurance on 27 January and replace outgoing Chief Life Insurance Officer, Sean McCormack, who will leave the life insurer on 26 February.

Reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer, Rodney Cook, Michael will lead the Life Insurance Team, responsible for the company's group and retail distribution channels, underwriting, operations, pricing, product, brand and marketing units.

Michael is an experienced financial services executive, having worked in Australia and the UK. He has spent over fifteen years in general manager and director positions in life insurance and wealth management, specifically with AXA in Australia and the UK, as well as AMP. Michael was also General Manager for Insurance at QSuper, where he led the design and implementation of its start-up insurance company, QInsure.

Rodney Cook, Chief Executive Officer, MLC Life Insurance, says Michael’s appointment will be instrumental in supporting the company’s strategic direction.
