MLC Life Insurance issues Royal Commission response
MLC Life Insurance has responded to an invitation from the Honourable Kenneth Hayne to provide information to the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial services industry.
MLC Life Insurance was invited to make an early submission and took the opportunity to do so on 29 January 2018.
MLC Life Insurance advises that we will, for past and present customers, waive any confidentiality and non-disparagement obligations they may have previously agreed with us, to the extent required for them to make a submission to the Royal Commission if they so wish.
In addition, where any past or present employee is restricted by a confidentiality or non-disparagement agreement with us, we will not enforce any such restriction if to do so would otherwise prevent them from making a submission to the Royal Commission.
We will continue to engage constructively with the Royal Commission as it progresses.
