Vision Super launches MLC Life Insurance's LifeView portal to members
Industry superannuation fund, Vision Super, will roll-out MLC Life Insurance's group insurance digital portal, LifeView, providing members with a seamless digital experience.
Vision Super's 100,000 strong member base will now have access to the portal, providing members with online access to manage every aspect of their life insurance needs.
Suzanne Smith, Chief Customer Officer, Group Insurance at MLC Life Insurance said, “We’re excited to offer LifeView to Vision Super members and support them to have an easy interaction with their life insurance.
“At a time of unprecedented change in the Australian group insurance market, our priority is to ensure members understand their life insurance and can set the level of cover that’s right for them – to protect what’s most important in their lives, their families. LifeView makes this possible,” said Ms Smith.
“The portal also provides an integrated experience for trustees and administrators, providing superannuation funds with transparent view of the claims process. Transforming our technology to meet our customers’ and our group insurance clients’ needs is key for us.”
LifeView comes as part of MLC Life Insurance’s multi-million dollar transformation program – focused on delivering the most advanced digital and process infrastructure in the industry to create great customer experiences.
Stephen Rowe, Chief Executive Officer at Vision Super said that as values based superannuation fund, they are always looking for ways to offer their members more.
“Increasingly our members want a seamless digital experience. We want to take our online services to the next level and provide great value for our members. LifeView is supporting us to do this. Our members can interact with their life insurance anytime, anywhere and update their cover as their lives change,” said Mr Rowe.
Vision Super members will be able to log in to LifeView whenever, wherever and howsoever, to modify their life insurance or make a claim.
The portal is one of a number of technology enhancements the company has made, as part of its commitment to lead the market in technology and innovation.
It offers tools to help members better understand what they are covered for, including a needs analysis tool to check the level of their cover and a premium calculator to check the cost of their cover.
Members can upload documents to support their claims application, and manage their superannuation and life insurance with one user name and password. It also gives members the ability to view and track the status of their application in real time.
The digital portal has fast processing and decision times on claims and underwriting, and is integrated with MLC Life Insurance’s new digital underwriting platform – giving members a simplified underwriting experience, getting them cover quicker.
Vision Super is the second superannuation fund to roll out LifeView, following Energy Super in November 2017.
The superannuation fund appointed MLC Life Insurance as its new group insurance provider in January 2018, with the life insurer now providing default life insurance cover for death, total and permanent disablement and income protection to its members.
Throughout 2018, MLC Life Insurance will continue its pursuit to build a strong presence in the group insurance space and cement itself as a solid contender in the group insurance market, backed by world-class technology.
